Before looking at this new year, let’s take a look over our shoulder at the one that is ending.

It is difficult to summarize it as it has been so exceptional.

First, we had to learn to live and continue to move forward in the context of a global pandemic with continued uncertainty about its evolution and impact.

After the shock caused by the explosive arrival of Covid in 2020, each sector had to organize itself permanently in 2021 by adapting its operational model and gaining agility throughout the value chain.

Exceptional also because, as a consequence or not of this situation, there seems to be a strong and shared awareness of the need to act collectively on the environmental impact of our activities.

On this topic, IAC has played an important role with its industrial partners by supporting major projects: Design-to-Green for a leader in Medtech, Hydrogen Strategy for an aircraft manufacturer, “Green Technologies” roadmap for a global player in Energy, etc.

From strategy definition to implementation, we now systematically combine environmental impact reduction and economic competitiveness.

Finally, such upheavals often give rise to opportunities to reinvent ourselves.

We are therefore proud to announce the creation of the IAC Research Institute.

Its vocation is to offer cutting-edge technological and methodological expertise by drawing on the skills of 10 PhD, leading companies (Renault, CMA-CGM, the Hospices Civils de Lyon, etc.) and prestigious academic partners (Ecole Polytechnique, Centrale Supelec, Ecole Navale, etc.).

Our work is organized around 4 pillars:

  • Sustainability: Supporting industrial players in achieving their environmental objectives
  • R&D Maturity: Increase the efficiency of R&D functions by improving innovation capture and deployment.
  • Design-for-Variety: Controlling the financial and operational impact of product line diversity.
  • A.I & Data Analytics: Leveraging rich data and providing competitive advantage

Finally, we have not forgotten our DNA by making available to you the Design-to-Cost Card Deck developed on the strength of our historical expertise.

All the levers of Design to Cost gathered in 40 cards to challenge the laws of competitiveness.

The year 2022 promises to be intense and full of new challenges, and we are ready to take them on with you.
